Bat Pivot Pop-up

This card is a special announcement card, because I will be doing a Halloween Series this year! I will upload the first video in the first week of September, and I plan to upload a Halloween Series video each week up until Halloween. That way I hope to give you lots of spooky inspiration. I can’t wait for the new fall/winter release from Lawn Fawn, because I think there will be some extra goodies to play with. But for now the older ones will do just fine.

You might have noticed the black backdrop in my photo’s. That’s my special Halloween backdrop. And I also have a different intro for these series. That way you’ll always know it’s a video for the Halloween Series.

For this card I had an idea in my head and it was rather hard to actually make it. The incredibly warm weather we’ve been having in the Netherlands wasn’t helping. My glue dried way too fast and some things just wouldn’t stick or came off the paper after a little while. I guess the heat did that. The one plus side was that the glossy accents on the eyes dried really fast. The idea was to attach the bat to the pivot, but then he wouldn’t fit inside the card once it closes. So I decided to cut him in pieces (poor thing) and place him behind the pivot. And the tiny bats were hard to fold, because of the thick cardstock. But after some trial and error I managed to make the card work. I hope you like the result.
